How DivorceFinancialCompass.com Estimates Financial Pressure

Last updated: July 2, 2026

DivorceFinancialCompass.com estimates financial pressure from the numbers entered by the user. The site does not pull private records, verify legal rights, calculate official support amounts, or decide the next step.

The result is an estimate. It depends on income, expenses, legal cost assumptions, housing costs, debt, support assumptions, settlement timing, home value, buyout assumptions, and cash reserves entered into the active engine. Blank numeric fields are treated as zero.

When assumptions are used, they are shown near the results. The goal is to make the math understandable enough that a user can review it, question it, and adjust their numbers.

The decision center is meant to help people understand options and tradeoffs. It does not make decisions for users, replace official court resources, or provide legal, financial, tax, mortgage, support, settlement, or professional advice.

The final decision always belongs to the user. This site exists to make the financial side easier to see clearly, one step at a time.
